Mathias is the L'Oréal NZ Hairdresser of the year 2016. Mathias has always known that he would have a career within the fashion industry. A perfectionist at heart, he has strived for excellence in every aspect of his career and life. Working not only as a hairdresser but also a make-up artist, Mathias has travelled all across New Zealand working on fashion shows, editorial shoots, brand campaigns, stage shows, film and television.
Mathias has always had a love for the fashion industry - “I’ve always wanted to help the world become more beautiful. Fashion was a natural path for me to take.”
Mathias has also been involved with the character hair and make-up team for World of Wearable Arts (WOW) for the past 4 years. He is sought after in the fashion world, from Trelise Cooper to regular magazine covers and editorial shoots - he is always putting his best foot forward and being his fabulous authentic self.
Having attended and worked on many L’Oréal colour seminars and events, colour has become a major part of his profession. He is a proud L'Oréal Professional Ambassador.
