We are dedicated to creating sensational colours for our clients. Our awarding winning Colour Dream Team is made up of some of New Zealand’s most experienced colourists. With many years of experience amongst the team, you will be sure to leave with the colour that suits you and your personal style.
Colour consultations are complimentary with Emerging Stylists and $25 with Senior and Master Stylist. A consultation is recommended for all new clients and existing clients wanting a change.
Your stylist can provide you with an accurate quote at the time of consultation. Please note that these individual colour price guides do not include recommended treatments, toners, finishing services, or any additional colour charges for long or thick hair.

K-Scan Scalp Rejuvenation with Wash & Blow Wave

Experience advanced scalp analysis using the Kérastase K-Scan, followed by a personalised Kérastase scalp treatment designed to rebalance, detoxify and support healthy hair growth.
This service includes a targeted scalp care ritual, therapeutic massage, customised cleanse and finishing blow wave.

Great Lengths Hair Extensions
At Buoy Salon, we offer both Keratin Bond and Tape-In hair extensions using premium hair from Great Lengths.
Keratin Bond Extensions are individually bonded to your natural hair using a gentle keratin polymer, creating a seamless, long-lasting finish. This method is ideal for those looking for maximum durability and a natural feel, with results lasting up to four or five months with proper care.
Tape-In Extensions are applied using small, discreet adhesive wefts that lie flat against the scalp, offering a quicker application and easy maintenance. They’re perfect for adding volume or length, and are reusable with proper removal and re-taping.
We are proud to be the only Wellington salon certified in the Great Lengths Keratin Bond system.
An in-salon consultation is required for all hair extension bookings to provide an accurate quote and colour match. This is $49.00 and redeemable on your service should you wish to proceed. . Book your consultation here.
Planning ahead is essential! Hair extension appointments require a minimum of 3 hours, so please book well in advance. A non-refundable deposit is required before placing your hair order.
